　　五、报告摘要：

　　In this talk, he will describe the development of new technologies for advanced medical diagnostics in community settings, informing care-pathways and treatments in the home, and at distance. New digital health methods can build upon advances in quantum inspired imaging as well as WiFi and radar sensing to enable clinical diagnosis. These sensing platforms can also use IoT/edge mobile computing, with blockchain endorsed access to cloud-based databases with artificial intelligence decision support tools, for informed diagnostic, even in remote settings.

　　六、嘉宾简介：

　　Professor Cooper holds The Wolfson Chair of Bioengineering at the University of Glasgow. He has interests in medical imaging, medical diagnostics and medical devices. He has worked extensively in Eastern Africa on infectious diseases diagnostics in rural communities in Rwanda, Uganda, Malawi and Tanzania.  

　　He sits on the Centre’s International Advisory Board Chinese Academy of Sciences Innovation & Cooperation Centre and is a Visiting Professor at University of Oxford and OSCAR, Suzhou, China as well as a Visiting Professor, School of Medical Science and Technology, IIT Kharagpur, India. He has been elected as a Fellow of the UK’s National Engineering Academy, The Royal Academy of Engineering and of the Scotland’s National Academy, The Royal Society of Edinburgh.
